Release of Liability

Knives and edged tools are inherently dangerous. By purchasing from Hearth-Fire Forge, the buyer assumes all responsibility and liability for the safe handling, use, and maintenance of the tool. Hearth-Fire Forge and its owner, Mason Becker, will not be held liable for any injury, damage, or legal consequences resulting from the misuse or mishandling of our products.

Age Declaration

Summary Offences Act 1988

In accordance with the Summary Offences Act 1988 (NSW) and subsequent legislative amendments, it is a criminal offence to supply knives to a minor. By purchasing a blade from Hearth-Fire Forge, you explicitly declare that you are 18 years of age or older and are legally permitted to purchase and possess this item.

Interstate Shipping & Local Laws

While Hearth-Fire Forge complies with New South Wales legislation, knife laws vary significantly across Australian states and territories (for example, strict importation regulations in Victoria and South Australia). It is the sole legal responsibility of the buyer — not the maker — to understand and comply with their local, state, and federal laws regarding the purchase, possession, and use of edged tools. Hearth-Fire Forge assumes no liability for items seized by interstate authorities.

Hearth-Fire Forge operates in strict compliance with the Weapons Prohibition Act 1998 (NSW). We do not forge or supply prohibited weapons. Our blades are crafted specifically as culinary instruments, historical art pieces, and outdoor utility tools. They are sold strictly for lawful purposes.
