Professional Sharpening

Restore your blades to their absolute sharpest edge — water-stones, leather strop, hand-finished.

What we do

We re-profile dull or chipped high-carbon, stainless, and tool steels using Japanese water stones and sandpaper, finishing with a leather strop hone. We can repair and sharpen select scissors depending on their profile (a brief consult is required prior to committing). Serrated knives and tools are sharpened exclusively at our workshop. For extreme edge damage, we will need to take your knives back to the workshop to safely re-profile them on the belt grinder.

What we need from you

Please securely wrap your blades for your safety and ours. While they might not need it on the way to us, your tools will absolutely require safe handling when we hand them back in sharper-than-new condition! Most clients use a thick tea towel and a cooler bag for secure transportation. You can drop them off to us at a pop-up market or ship them directly to the workshop (address provided upon booking). Please ensure you include a note with your name and contact details.

Pricing

Hearth-Fire Blades: Free (shipping to and from us is at the customer's cost). Pocket & Petty Knives: Starting from $6 each. Kitchen Knives & Cleavers: Starting from $12 each. Bundles: Bundle pricing is offered at our discretion and depends heavily on the condition of the individual blades, not just the total quantity.

Turnaround

At market pop-ups, sharpening is performed on-site unless discussed and agreed upon otherwise. The turnaround time per knife ranges drastically based on the blade's condition, your position in the queue, and the volume of foot traffic at the booth.
